Honeymoon in Mexico: Excellence Playa Mujeres
I had the luxury of spending nine days in Mexico for a honeymoon and happy to have picked Excellence Playa Mujeres—an adults-only all-inclusive resort, where my husband and I sat, relaxed, and enjoyed a friendly laid back atmosphere made perfect for honeymooners.
There's almost no reason to step outside the resort: the resort has nine restaurants and 11 bars, with nightly entertainment, a spa, and a fitness center. Private rooms include 24/7 room service on top of a fully-stocked minibar. Plenty of activities are available to enjoy during the day—including biking, tennis, archery, and more. Our favorite: spending a chunk of our time in the game room playing rounds of table tennis and pool.
Our typical daily agenda consisted of the beach, fruity cocktails, ceviches and swimming. The drinks came and went; the service was absolutely flawless.
What's probably my most favorite part of the stay: the daily post-shower state at dusk ready for the night's mariachi band and margaritas.
Going over these photos definitely makes me want to come back!
